Debt collection agencies recently prevailed in three separate court cases involving claims of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) violations. And significantly, all three decisions were published in a legal journal, meaning they will be more readily available to use as precedents in future cases.

Listen to FDCPA defense experts John Rossman and Mike Poncin discuss the cases, and their impact on the ARM industry, below.

Also, Rossman will be representing the debt collection industry at the annual North American Collection Agency Regulatory Association (NACARA) conference this week in New Orleans. It is a meeting of state ARM regulators that is closed to the public, so it’s nice to know collectors will have a voice.
