This is a bit of a trainwreck of a press release: Nation’s Largest Bankruptcy Law Firm Focuses on Protecting Consumer Rights.

Let’s just check off all the things wrong with the thinking from our good friends at Macey Bankruptcy Law.

__ Mistaken conflation of FTC complaints filed with actual, legitimate FTC complaints.

__ Crazy, English-as-a-second-language sentences: “Some stories so bad that there is no line from which some collectors will go so low.”

__ The idea that one can be rescued from fiscal responsibility by filing bankruptcy.

__ This sentence: “The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) provides a mechanism to fight back against the collection agencies.” No. That’s not what the FDCPA should be used for.

__ Suggesting that anyone who is contacted by a collection agency is a victim of said collection agency.

__ Doesn’t mention what Macey Bankruptcy Law’s fee-structure is.
