Engilman will be sitting on a panel at the DBA conference moderated by Rozanne Anderson, former President of ACA International and currently, the Chief Compliance Officer and VP of Business Development at Ontario Systems, along with April Lindauer, Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance for Midland Credit Management, Inc. and David Cotter, Chief Compliance Officer at Absolute Resolutions Corporation which will focus on the number and nature of CFPB generated complaints, practical, scalable, tried and tested complaint management models, the importance of connecting complaints to collector compensation, and tips to improve the quality of compliance responses.  .

“I am very excited to be included on this panel,” Engilman said. “The information provided will be enlightening and at the same time helpful to debt buyers, collection attorneys and collection agencies of all sizes.”

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) launched its consumer complaint portal in July 2013. This has created a new opportunity to address consumer complaints and disputes. Engilman continued, “The panel will help to better understand and provide real world solutions to handle the detailed and complex due diligence requirements imposed by the newly created Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.”

With more than 1,600 attendees and showcasing more than 130 exhibits, the DBA International Conference is considered the premier industry event, setting the tone for the year and providing educational programs and endless networking opportunities.

A Past attendee of the conference sums up the benefit and brilliance of what the conference has to provide: “With the debt landscape changing in the wake of a volatile economy, legislative challenges and emboldened debtors, as well as other business obstacles, the utility of this conference is greater than ever.”
