GFKL Financial Services AG is taking over Wolter Inkasso OHG from Essen, a company specializing in the collection of transnational receivables, which has partners in more than 100 countries. The company currently services mandates from more than 600 clients. The takeover will be effective as of January 1, 2007.

Wolter Inkasso is the sole German partner of the Global Credit Solutions Group (GCS), one of the most important international collection networks, and a member of the American Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA International) and the English Credit Services Association (CSA). Nationally, Wolter Inkasso is a member of the Federal Association of German Collection Companies (BDIU).

As part of the takeover, Wolter Inkasso will merge with GFKL subsidiary Domnowski Inkasso GmbH from Hamm. However, the company will continue to offer its global services under the brand Wolter Inkasso. The current managing partner Heinz-Dieter Maye will continue to direct Wolter Inkasso’s operations as its managing director.

Dr. Peter Jänsch, chairman of the executive board of GFKL Financial Services AG: “With approximately 700 personnel in the collection division, GFKL is now one of the leading German service providers on this market. The integration of Wolter Inkasso’s global collection activities and the company’s excellent international reputation are an important step in the expansion of our collection business abroad. We can now offer our clients global receivables collection in addition to our services in Germany.”
