Prosperity America, Inc., a call center firm with debt collection operations based in Midland, Ga., was recently featured in a segment that ran on cable news network Fox Business.

Fox News 5 Atlanta interviewed Fred Landrum, CEO of Prosperity America, on its nationally syndicated business show “Bull & Bears”. Prosperity America has been identified by the Georgia Department of Labor as a success story for its “Georgia Works” program. The Obama administration has identified this initiative as a potential model for a national program. President Obama mentioned the Georgia program in a major jobs speech Thursday evening.

The “Georgia Works” program gives the unemployed an opportunity to receive six weeks of on the job training. Under this arrangement, the state pays the trainees a stipend during training and the employer makes a commitment to hire all qualifying graduates of the program.

Prosperity America has had success with the program, hiring 70 percent of the workers that have entered it so far through their company.
