American Profit Recovery, a collection agency based in Massachusetts, has once again spent part of their summer working hard and raising money for various charities by dressing down in the office.

For the third year in a row, the collection agency held their annual “Summer Charities of Choice” in their three offices and raised over $1,000 for a number of local charities. The money was raised internally by giving employees the option of dressing casual in the office and paying a fee for that privilege. All money was raised through employee contributions. To date, over $3,500 has been raised through this program.

“We have a number of charities we support during the year as a company but it is this initiative that allows our team to designate money to a charity that they truly have a passion for,” states Jeff DiMatteo, a partner at American Profit Recovery. “This keeps our team engaged in community service and shows them we really do care about the causes they support as well.”

Employees nominated local and regional charities that they had an affinity for. Those charities include:

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, ALS of Michigan, The Junior League of Boston, Autism Speaks, Azure Lodge Angel Fund, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, MassMutual Federal Credit Union, Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Brain Tumor Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Rett Syndrome Research.

Because of the continued philanthropic efforts of American Profit Recovery such as Summer Charities of Choice and the increased amount of employee engagement over the years, the collection agency was recently presented with the ACA International Education Foundation Fellow. The award recognizes an individual or company in the collection industry for their outstanding charitable contributions and employee engagement.
