The Small Business Council of Rochester recognized Mark E. Davitt, President and CEO of ConServe as the recipient of the 2013 Business Person of the Year Award in the large-firm category at their annual luncheon held on October 9, 2013.

For the past three decades, the Small Business Council has presented an annual award spotlighting exemplary business leadership and community involvement in Rochester and Monroe County. Nominees are judged on criteria including contributions to their business, impact within the company’s industry and commitment to civic endeavors.

Mark took the time to congratulate each of the other finalists and also recognized his employees for creating a team of the right people, doing the right thing, at the right time, the right way. “At ConServe, we have been fortunate to attract some very talented people. They live the mission of serving the needs of our Clients and improving people’s lives. ConServe is the sum of all the actions of all our employees every day. It is the people who make this company do as well as it does and they are the ones who put us over the top.”

Founded in 1985, Continental Service Group, Inc. (dba ConServe), has provided accounts receivable management services in the higher education, government and commercial markets. ConServe was ranked as the #1 performing collection agency on the U.S. Department of Education’s student loan collection contract from 2004-2010. In 2009, ConServe was again awarded a long term contract by the Department of Education and is currently among the top performers in this category.
