New York Renews Pandemic-Related Suspension on Collection of Certain State-Owned Debt

New York's Attorngey General announced last weekthat the state will renew its suspension of collection efforts for state-owned debts for yet another 30 days. The suspension is now in effect through August 15, 2020.

The initial order first went into effect back in March, and has been renewed each month since. The order halts the state's collection efforts of medical and student debt owed to the state.
