The Jumpstart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy has named ACA International Education Foundation Chair Bill Wilcox, MCE, president of CBM Credit Education Foundation in Madison, Wis., the winner of the 2010 William E. Odom Visionary Leadership Award.

The William E. Odom Visionary Leadership Award was established in 1999 to recognize individuals who have made substantial contributions to the promotion of financial literacy among students.

Wilcox was nominated for the award by David Manci, director of the Wisconsin Office of Financial Literacy, for his 35-year commitment to promoting financial literacy.

“Mr. Wilcox is an innovator in financial literacy,” Manci said. “He has authored financial education publications, including the highly disseminated and first national publication on ID theft, Identity Theft and Identity Fraud. He provided significant support to launch both the national and Wisconsin Jumpstart Coalition, and MoneySmart.org, among other initiatives.”

Wilcox will receive his award at the Jumpstart Annual Awards Dinner on April 14, 2010, in Washington, D.C.
