CACi, a locally owned collection agency and extended business office, announced today its plans for a 75-seat call center in South St. Louis County that will create over 125 new full- and part-time jobs in the St. Louis area.  The facility will be fully operational by April 1.

The new location will focus primarily on bank card collections; CACi’s central office, also located in South St. Louis County, provides first and third party collections to medical and utility clients.

“CACi’s growth allows our clients to maximize their recovery while minimizing the expense of hiring, training, and maintaining the staff these portfolios require,” COO Roger Weiss explained at the announcement.  Weiss credits the company’s recent growth spurt to an exclusive certification obtained in 2004.  CACi is one of only 30 agencies in the world to earn the Professional Practices Management System (PPMS) certification through ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals.  PPMS is based on the 9002 ISO management standard and is annually audited by ACA to maintain continued certification.

CACi was established in 1967 and purchased by current ownership in 2002.  At that time the company had 17 employees and annual revenues of $800,000.  CACi now operates with over 160 employees; the company’s annual revenues for 2006 exceeded $5.4 million.  CACi’s employees range from lifelong collection professionals to motivated high school and college students seeking opportunities in a professional business environment.

“The company’s slogan ‘Service, Results, Excellence’ is what we strive to embody and provide every one of our clients,” explained CFO Shawn Farris, “In order to provide the quality that we want to deliver we have to maintain a strong bottom line.  We make sure we don’t forget the people that get us to that bottom line, and I certainly think CACi is one of the better employers in the St. Louis area.  That fact will soon be more publicly recognized as we continue to grow.”
