ACA International, the largest trade organization for accounts receivable management professionals, today asked its membership to weigh in on a proposed change to the association’s governance structure.

The ACA International Governance Task Force has been charged with evaluating ACA’s current governance structure and proposing changes to more effectively govern ACA. At the July 13, 2011, ACA International Board of Directors meeting, the Governance Task Force presented a proposal to the Board regards its proposed changes to ACA’s governance structure. The Board was encouraged by the proposal and asked the Governance Task Force to provide a finalized proposal to the Board by the end of November 2011.

At this time, the Governance Task Force seeks members’ comments regarding the proposed structure. ACA has asked members to review a chart prepared by the Governance Task Force comparing ACA’s existing governance structure with the proposed governance structure. The Task Force also prepared a PowerPoint presentation which discusses the proposed changes and the reasons for the changes to the governance structure. Both documents can be viewed at ACA’s Web site only by current association members.

Comments should be sent to ACA’s Corporate Secretary, Julie Brooks at brooksj@acainternational.org by August 11, 2011.
