DAKCS Software Systems to Move to Ogden's Central Business District

Ogden, Utah – DAKCS Software Systems, Inc has moved its headquarters to the new Junction Building in downtown Ogden as of September 1, 2010.  DAKCS occupies nearly 10,000 square feet on the fourth floor. The building, located at The Junction Development, is on the corner of Washington Boulevard and 24th Street.

DAKCS Software Systems had been at their Taylor Avenue address for over 27 years. Although previous consideration had been given to moving to downtown Ogden, the timing wasn’t right. According to president Lex Patterson, “In today’s economy, we recognized some great opportunities in the downtown area. We asked Kevin and David Phipps of NAI Utah Commercial Real Estate to help us with the selection process.  We considered 16 potential buildings between North Ogden and Layton, but determined The Junction building best met our needs. In addition to getting great lease terms, we are excited to be in the heart of downtown Ogden. Our employees can now enjoy the new restaurants, shopping and entertainment that are in close proximity. The Boyer Company as well as Ogden’s Mayor, Mathew Godfrey have been of great help during this process. We look forward to a long term relationship with both of them.
