Windham Professionals, Inc., a nationwide collection agency founded in 1982, welcomes Fred Lundquist, Executive Vice President, Business Development. A 25 year veteran of the collection industry, Lundquist will be responsible for sales, marketing and client services nationwide.

“I’m excited to be at Windham,” said Lundquist. “I’ve always had the utmost respect for Windham as a competitor. They’ve always had integrity—that’s one of their hallmarks—and great service. I’ve wanted to work at Windham for years, and I’m delighted that I got the opportunity to come in.”

Lundquist first started as a collection agent in 1980 and quickly moved into operations management. In 1991 he started in sales, eventually advancing to a position as a sales executive. Through the course of his career he has sat on panels at the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP), the Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organizations (COHEAO) and led training sessions at Professional Development Group’s (PDG) conference. His diverse background is well-suited for Windham’s varied vertical experience, which includes campus based-collections, FFELP loans, Federal Direct student loans, private student loans, commercial recovery and healthcare recovery programs.

“Fred summed it up nicely when he told me ‘if you can’t beat them, join them,’” said Windham President and CEO Erin Zaldastani. “We are excited that he has made the decision to partner with Windham.”

Lundquist’s goals in his new position align with Windham’s client-focused corporate philosophy.

“My number one goal is to keep the client happy with Windham’s stellar service,” said Lundquist. “I’m looking to make my mark and to expand Windham’s client base nationally.”

But most of all, he emphasized the respect he feels for his new team at Windham Professionals, which he said is built with quality people.

“It’s people like them that give the collection agency business a better name,” he said.
