HBCS, a leading provider of billing and collection services for healthcare organizations, has appointed Eric Reyes as Vice President of Insurance Operations.  In his new role, Reyes will manage all insurance productivity, quality, and performance targets, while working closely with HBCS clients.  In addition, Reyes will be responsible for the growth and development of the HBCS Insurance Operations Division.

Reyes has nearly twenty years of accounts receivable management experience, with his most recent experience serving as Corporate Director of Patient Financial Systems for Capital Health System in Trenton, New Jersey.  There, he was responsible for collections on over $110 million of open accounts receivable and contributed to reducing the overall AR from 48.3 days to 36.6 days.  Reyes’ background also includes significant experience in revenue cycle outsourcing and consulting for Deloitte Consulting and McKesson.

Reyes has a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Seton Hall University and is a graduate of St. John’s University where he earned a BS in Health Care Administration.
