Shively takes the director’s helm from Ray Eshghipour, who is now directing operations for ACT’s new office in Dallas.

“Brian Shively has an outstanding track record in using the latest technology to improve efficiency, while also providing motivational team leadership to maximize performance,” said Troy Ortega, chief operations officer for ACT. “His background in educational collections will help ensure a key segment of ACT’s business continues to exceed expectations.”

Shively has 13 years of experience in the collection industry. He most recently was director of educational services for Firstsource Advantage, LLC, where he oversaw the creation of the firm’s student loan division and was a project lead for the implementation of new account management and payment system technology. Shively also served eight years at Sallie Mae, where he was promoted five times to positions of higher responsibility, culminating in director of collections and then executive project manager. He began his career with Household Credit Services in Las Vegas, where he also studied business management at the College of Southern Nevada.
