I’ve enjoyed watching several NBA playoff games this year. Each of the remaining teams is loaded with basketball talent and boasts multiple All-Star players.

Success is not all about the All-Star. I’ve watched some fantastic NBA athletes who have “carried their team” with absolutely phenomenal performances. While it appears they won the game singlehandedly that is really not the case. If you removed the other 3 or 4 teammates from the basketball court the All-Star would not have won the game. He needs supporting teammates to dribble the ball, pass, set screens and help run plays. Supporting teammates make the All-Star shine.

The same is true in our companies. Each office has several All-Stars. These employees excel at their jobs. They hit their goals consistently, finish projects on time, have positive attitudes, are consistent in their work efforts, offer creative solutions to problems and even help other employees achieve their goals.

Maximize your office All-Star’s efforts. In previous IAT blog posts, we’ve talked about cloning your best collector by duplicating their actions with your predictive dialer and broadcast messaging campaigns. If you were able to carefully document how your All-Star collector consistently hits their goals, you could translate their activities into a higher performing and successful office.

One interesting fact about truly great NBA All-Stars is that they actually make their teammates better players. Great All-Stars recognize how to get their teammates more involved in the game. They know when to shoot and when they should pass the ball so someone else can make the shot.

As the predictive dialer and broadcast messaging campaigns are fine tuned and run more efficiently, they are in fact acting like an all-star. They pass calls to the correct collector at the right time with the highest probability of achieving success.

Some might argue that “watching” your dialer deliver an all-star performance might not be as fun as watching an NBA game, but I get pretty excited seeing a dialer deliver peak performance and bring more money in door!
