Each year on April 22, people the world over organize for environmental awareness under the flag of Earth Day. IC System is stepping up to our part as well. On April 22, employees in the home office in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, will plant seeds in the acres of adjoining wetlands and grassy fields.
Each armed with a bag of wildflower and milkweed seeds, our employees will use the throw-and-grow method to make our property a small, but thriving ecosystem. With time to grow and a little luck, the wildflowers and milkweeds will bloom, attract pollinators, and make our field look beautiful too.
In support of this event, IC System has partnered with the Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization (VLAWMO), which helps protect and enhance the watersheds of northern Ramsey County and some sections of Anoka County. The VLAWMO has provided IC System with a number of items to support our Earth Day event and create awareness about the significance of healthy watersheds.
