AMSTERDAM–Following in the footsteps of perspectives’08 in Florence (Italy), perspectives’10 – The Art of Payments took place in Prague (Czech Republic) from June 3-4, 2010. Staying true to its original format, the conference was designed exclusively for top eMerchants from around the world and dedicated to international online payment trends and fraud prevention. With a capacity of 150 attendees, the event was fully booked with representatives from Blizzard Entertainment, eBay, The Financial Times, Nike, Skype, TNT, and Vodafone among many others.

During the conference, eCommerce merchants were presenting best practice cases studies to fellow merchants, able to network face-to-face, and have lively peer discussions during numerous themed workshops. Keynote speakers included Andreas S. Weigend, former Chief Scientist of Amazon.com and Polly A. Bauer, former President & CEO of Home Shopping Network Credit Corporation.

Here is what some of our attending merchants had to say about the event:

"I was delighted to be part of the perspectives’10 conference in Prague; the GlobalCollect team put together a wonderful agenda providing a high quality variety of key note speakers and seminars. I was able to make some useful contacts which will prove valuable as our partnership with GlobalCollect expands in the future. Thank you GlobalCollect!" (Lucia Gascoigne, Business Analyst at TNT)

“GlobalCollect’s perspectives‘10 was a great medium for exchanging and understanding issues and best practices in the international environment of payment methods through a wide spectrum of companies.” (Jerome Petit, Head of Finance of Snapfish International)

perspectives’10 was a very powerful forum in which to learn and network amongst a diversified group of international merchants. Information sharing events such as this are extremely valuable in helping to stay on top of the ever-changing global payment landscape. GlobalCollect was a great host and did an extraordinary job of putting everything together.” (Anthony Marsella, Director Financial Planning & Analysis of Direct Wines)

“While Travel Guard operates primarily in the travel space, the diversity of attendees and content at the recent GlobalCollect client conference in Prague provided a wealth of information in regard to processing electronic payments in a global environment. The conference provided many opportunities for attendees to share payment processing challenges and best practices with a well balanced mixture of keynote speakers and payment processing workshops." (Jeff Schafer, Vice President, Global Distribution of Travel Guard Worldwide Inc.)

"It’s hard to pick a favorite session because I liked them all but I have to say Andreas Weigend’s keynote really got me thinking on a higher level." (Amine Saoudi, CFO of Splendia)
