American Profit Recovery, a collection agency in Michigan with additional offices in Massachusetts and North Carolina, got into the employee spirit last week as the company hosted Employee Week. With a dunk tank, lots of food and prizes, the company let the employees relax a little, have fun, all in an effort to raise money for an important cause.

Each year, American Profit Recovery takes an entire week and dedicates it to the staff. While the team is celebrated all through the year, this week features a whole host of fun activities and always a charitable component to the week. This year, the collection agency created a Back to the 80’s theme and offered employees a few ways to raise money for the upcoming Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks.

One way the collection agency employees got to raise money was to offer up several managers to go into the dunk tank. Five managers in all took their 15 minutes in the dunk tank and when they were done, over $800 for Making Strides was raised. Employees and their family members helped raise the money by purchasing $1.00 tickets.

The tickets were also good for a company-wide 80’s Trivia game in which employees could win everything from Detroit Lions Tickets, a $200 VISA Gift Card, APR prize pack of apparel, or time off and dress casual day vouchers. All money raised during the week goes to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks in which the company participates.

The company will take part in Making Strides in Boston and Howell MI, just outside Detroit.
