On October 22, 2013, Professional Credit Service (PCS) held a Jeans Day fundraiser event raising over $300 for Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer advocacy organization. In exchange for purchasing a pink ribbon for $5 or more, employees sported jeans and pink to work to show their support.

Over the past three years, PCS has raised $1,400 for breast cancer research and education through bake sales, and other organized fundraising events. “These fundraising events are extremely important to our employees, as many of them have been personally touched by this disease,” said Buz Mattson, President of PCS. “The Jeans Day fundraiser is easy to implement in the workplace and it empowers everyone to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.”

PCS’ Jeans Day originated from the Lee National Denim Day, an annual fundraiser supported by Lee Jeans that has raised more than $89 million for the fight against breast cancer. In the United States alone, an estimated 234,580 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed this year.
