Gila Corporation, and its two business units, Municipal Services Bureau (MSB) and Gila Group, has been awarded the Professional Practices Management System certification (PPMS), from the Association of Credit & Collections Professionals (ACA).  Similar to an ISO9000 review, PPMS is a management system for collection agencies based upon developing, implementing and adhering to a set of industry-specific professional practices and policies.

This unique designation is granted by ACA, the association for businesses and individuals involved in the credit and collections industry.  ACA International represents approximately 5,500 member companies, including 3,400 collection agencies. 

ACA’s PPMSTM Program includes seventeen specific elements that provide the foundation for the operation of a successful collection agency.  Specific emphasis is placed on an agency’s ability to document and audit its business practices, processes and procedures, as well as consistently adhere to ACA’s Professional Code of Ethics.
