Chicago – The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) recently reviewed one of Cardon Healthcare Network, Inc’s revenue cycle management offerings as part of the periodic evaluation process necessary to maintain Cardon’s HFMA Peer Reviewed designation.  After undergoing the rigorous review, Cardon has once again consistently met “Peer Reviewed by HFMA” standards.

The Cardon Third-Party Eligibility Program provides a comprehensive solution to a healthcare provider’s self-pay patient accounts, converting them to Medicaid or all other eligible third party payor sources. The program screens patients before and after discharge, employing a blend of proprietary technologies, highly trained staff located in the hospital or clinic, and strategically placed field offices and personnel.  Programs screened for include all forms of federal, state, county or public medical assistance as well as optional third party liability screening.

"It is truly an honor to receive the Peer Review designation, as it reflects Cardon’s relentless focus on our hospital clients, the patients our clients serve, and the quality of our work product," said Douglas Cardon, President of Cardon Healthcare Network.  "For over thirteen years we have strived to continuously deliver superior performance and value, and we are pleased to partner with the HFMA in a program that helps healthcare financial professionals identify companies, like Cardon, that take excellence very seriously."

The annual HFMA review process involves collecting feedback from current Cardon users through the distribution of surveys, and Cardon continues to score highly and meet the criteria for a product to display the HFMA Peer Review mark:

  • Enhanced productivity for the individual user and for the customer’s organization;
  • Ease of installation and use;
  • Accuracy and reliability;
  • Good value for the price;
  • Excellent technical support and customer service; and
  • An overall positive rating from reviewers based on a quantitative scale

"For years HFMA members have asked us to identify viable healthcare finance resources and to filter some of the noise in the market place," says HFMA President and CEO Richard L. Clarke, FHFMA. "We see the new Peer Review Process as a powerful opportunity to do just that."
