Platinum Funding Group, a leading factoring company, announced the promotion of Anna Belkina to the position of Senior Business Development Officer for Special Situations. In her new role, Ms. Belkina, 26, will represent Platinum Funding Group in the investment banking, hedge fund, venture capital and private equity communities nationwide.

“Ms. Belkina has been a valuable addition to our team,” said Eyal Levy, Founder and CEO of Platinum Funding Group. “I have no doubt that her intelligence and relationship-building skills will continue to be a great asset to Platinum as the company undertakes new and challenging initiatives.”

Belkina joined Platinum Funding Group in October 2006, and has been successful in fostering productive relationships between Platinum Funding Group and the turnaround, asset-based lending and greater financial communities of New York City and Long Island. She was also active in the company’s many marketing and public relations initiatives in 2007. Prior to joining Platinum Funding Group, Belkina conducted research on global energy markets for New York City and Washington, D.C.-based consulting firms. She graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and Economics.

"I am excited about the opportunities and challenges this promotion brings,” said Belkina. “Historically, the I-Banking and VC communities rarely crossed paths with factoring, but I believe tremendous benefits could be garnered by reaching out and building awareness in this sector of the financial community. I look forward to contributing to Platinum’s success as the company grows.”

Platinum Funding specializes in providing cash from the outright purchase of a company’s accounts receivable income stream for small and middle market companies that need to fund internal growth, a recapitalization, acquisitions, working capital or to exit chapter 11.
