Collingswood, NJ – ARMing Heroes (www.armingheroes.org), the collection industry’s charity for military veterans, is pleased to announce that HS Financial Group of Cleveland, Ohio (www.hsfgroup.net), a long-time donor, has agreed to promote the ARMing Heroes grant-making program to other organizations within Cuyahoga County, Ohio, to increase awareness and local involvement with the charity. As part its increased participation level, HS Financial will raise dollars among staff with corporate matching, engage other local businesses to get involved, get the word out among local veterans, and earmark dollars raised for in-county grant applicants who otherwise qualify for the charity’s programs.

Ken Wojtach, Chief Operating Officer, will champion the program, and plans to lead the charge by drawing on his three decades of experience to drive the program’s success. Additionally, his personal connection to veterans fuels his motivation to see the charity succeed. “Six of my uncles served in World War II, and one was a tower sharpshooter who lost his life when gunned down by a sniper,” Ken commented, continuing, “With such a deep connection to vets and a strong family history of commitment to military service, this is a cause I truly care about, one that I’m proud to be part of, and I want to do everything I can to help it grow.” In the months ahead, Wojtach plans to promote ARMing Heroes to other ARM firms and creditors in northeast Ohio and beyond.

HS Financial Group’s owner, Timothy Sullivan, is a Navy veteran himself, making HS Financial is a certified veteran-owned small business. The company plans to get its own employees on board to support the charity by offering a voluntary payroll deduction option beginning in January 2016 that will continue throughout the year. “Being a veteran-owned small business within the accounts receivable industry gives us first-hand knowledge of the financial challenges our veterans face every day,” Sullivan remarked, continuing, “We’re in a unique position to help, we’re able to give back, and we’re honored to do so.”

The ARMing Heroes grant-making program would not exist without the unwavering support of generous donors within the ARM industry.  As a result of the 2014 drive, the charity was able to award nearly $80,000 in grants to struggling vets and their families, as seen here and this year’s grant applicants are just as worthy of consideration.  During the 2015 drive, several repeat donors  have stepped up once again to support the charity’s efforts, offering much-needed momentum for the charity and support for those who need it most.  Stories of past grant recipients remind us all how important this program has become.

With just one week left in its sixth annual No Debts for Vets Charity Fundraising Drive, the organization hopes news of this HS Financial initiative will serve as a springboard to get other ARM firms across the nation involved in their own regional areas, ultimately helping vets living within their own communities. Companies interested in implementing similar programs in their own local region should contact the ARMing Heroes organization for information.

The charity’s flagship No Debts for Vets Charity Fundraising Drive runs from September 11th through Veterans Day, November 11th every year, however tax-deductible donations are accepted at any time online at www.armingheroes.org and via mail to PO Box 353, Collingswood, NJ 08108, payable to ARMing Heroes. Pledges may be made to info@armingheroes.org.  Any amounts pledged or donated now will be applied to the 2015 drive.
