Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC announces the promotion of Kathy Simmermon to Senior Vice President of Acquisitions.

Kathy joined Cavalry 7 years ago. Prior to joining Cavalry, Kathy had over 20 years of experience with portfolio acquisitions, loan sales, collection agency marketing and management. Since joining Cavalry, she has been an integral part of Cavalry’s marketing and portfolio acquisition group by developing and maintaining Cavalry’s valued industry relationships. Kathy actively participates in many industry groups such as the Association of Academic Financial Aid Administrators Conference Board, Western States Tax Administrators Association Conference Board and the Debt Buyers International trade association. Kathy is currently an active member on the Board of the DBA addressing the most important issues facing the receivables management and debt buying industries.

Cavalry management unanimously states, “We are happy to announce Kathy Simmermon’s promotion to the position of Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC. This well-deserved promotion reflects Kathy’s significant and continuing contribution to Cavalry and the debt buying industry. She will continue in her current role in Cavalry’s acquisition function but will also assume management of other special projects. We are looking forward to the future as Kathy takes on these new and expanded responsibilities.”

In addition to her marketing responsibilities, Kathy is a leader in Cavalry philanthropic program, “Cavalry Cares”. She coordinates Cavalry’s many fundraising and charity drives across the United States. Each year Kathy cooks a Holiday meal for over 200 employees. An employee stated during the 2011 Thanksgiving season, “ I look forward to collecting food for our charity, because it is the precursor to Kathy’s home cooked meal. She’s the greatest.”

Cavalry acquires and services credit card, auto deficiency, and other types of performing, nonperforming and sub performing loans and receivables.
