Municipal Services Bureau (MSB) announced Friday that started implementing a debt collection contract with Nassau County, New York.

The contract calls for MSB, a unit of Austin, Texas-based Gila Corp., to collect the debts of several county divisions, including EMS, the County Attorney’s Office, Treasury, and Probation Departments.

“MSB looks forward to a long and successful relationship with Nassau County,” said Bruce Cummings, CEO of MSB, in a press release. “MSB will work diligently on behalf of the County to collect on its delinquent accounts and generate additional revenue which ultimately will benefit Nassau taxpayers,” he added.

Nassau County, with a population of more than 1.3 million, is a close-in suburban county of New York City located on Long Island.
