News in the ARM industry never stops and sorting out what’s news and what’s noise can be a challenge. That’s where insideARM’s weekly recap comes in. Our weekly recap of top stories will give you the news we found most interesting last week and, more importantly, why we think it’s relevant. Last week, we brought you updates on a lawsuit filed by state AGs against the CFPB, details about an opportunity to help fix the CFPB’s complaint portal, and insights into AI, state laws, and card compliance.

On Tuesday, we brought you an update from Orrick about a lawsuit filed by State AGs against the CFPB, the Fed, and the acting director of the CFPB. There are no action items for the ARM industry here; however, it’s important not to sleep on the CFPB saga. The CFPB still exists, and interested parties are pushing to resuscitate it.

On Wednesday, we brought you details on the CFPB’s request for comment on its complaint intake form. The ARM industry has long complained about shortfalls and abuses of the CFPB’s complaint portal. Finally, there is an opportunity to do more than just scream into the void about the issues. All ARM industry stakeholders are encouraged to respond.

On Thursday, we shared insights from Auriemma Roundtables on AI, State Laws, and their impact on Card Compliance. As AI use cases continue to grow, compliance teams face newer challenges and a more complex regulatory scheme than ever before. This article walks through the challenges, the regulatory landscape, and how to integrate State AI laws into a compliance strategy. The compliance strategies for Card Compliance professionals easily translate to the ARM industry.
