COLLINGSWOOD, N.J. — MyGovWatch, the government bid notification and intelligence website serving the debt collection industry since 2008, has announced a free webinar on Federal General Services Administration (GSA) contracting due to emerging opportunities for Private Collection Agencies (PCAs) to serve Federal agencies.

The event will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 1PM EST. Sign up for the webinar here.

Some Federal buying requires contractors to first hold a GSA contract. Company president Nick Bernardo, who in his career has helped PCAs secure over $1 billion in fees from government contracts and subcontracts, will conduct the event and cover:

  • Brief background on the GSA and how it functions within Federal contracting
  • The main steps necessary to secure a GSA contract
  • Highlights of Federal agencies’ past utilization of GSA contracts for various initiatives involving PCAs
  • Past Performance, a term of art in Federal contracting
  • An overview of small business set asides and subcontracting
  • Planned future paid events and consulting opportunities for PCAs intent on pursuing Federal contracts

After a brief, scripted portion of the event, Bernardo will take questions from the audience for an event expected to last one hour.

This promotional event will also feature a brief introduction to MyGovWatch premium market services in the debt collection and call center industries, which some of the largest and best-known government contractors in the industry have used for more than 15 years. The site offers insider, contract-level data on the results of past Federal, state & local government contracts not generally available to the public, current solicitations, and forecasts of anticipated procurements, along with tools to let people look up pricing and proposal submissions across 24 classes of debt to include higher education, healthcare, utility, tax, and many others. It lets business development people zero in on real opportunities by disqualifying unwinnable opportunities with a few clicks.

MyGovWatch released data earlier this year indicating Federal buying through bids and RFPs through the solicitation process increased by 6.5% in the first 100 days of the Trump administration compared to the same period in 2024, a difference of thousands of additional purchasing actions across all industries.

In the November 2024 edition of MyGovWatch Live: The B2G Roundtable, Bernardo presented data showing growth in Federal spending during the first Trump administration to help people understand the inevitable growth in government contracting at all levels despite negative headlines mainly about controversial spending in the first few months of the second Trump administration.
