(Coast) proudly recognized First Responders Day on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with appreciation efforts across its Louisiana and New York locations, honoring the firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical personnel who selflessly serve their communities every day.
This year’s observance carried forward a meaningful tradition established in 2019, as Coast employees once again came together to express gratitude to local heroes dedicated to keeping their communities safe.
In West Monroe, Louisiana, Coast hosted its largest First Responders Day Cookout to date, welcoming nearly 300 first responders for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and appreciation. Employees volunteered their time to grill and serve hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and refreshments—all made possible through the generous support of community partners including Performance Foodservice (PFG), Mac’s Fresh Market, and Chick-fil-A of West Monroe. The event was filled with laughter, community spirit, and heartfelt conversations as Coast’s team and first responders shared a day of connection and gratitude.
At Coast’s Geneseo, New York, office, the celebration took on a new form this year as employees prepared and delivered 18 customized gift baskets to first responder departments throughout Livingston County. Each basket was thoughtfully assembled with snacks, comfort items, and personal care products, as well as items donated by Coast partners Coast to Coast Food Brokers, Cheney Brothers, Inc., and GOJO Industries, Inc. Employees personally delivered the baskets, taking time to thank first responders in person for their service and dedication. This marked the first time the Geneseo team transitioned from hosting a cookout—held in prior years—to a delivery-based show of appreciation, allowing employees to connect directly with first responders across multiple departments.
“It’s important for us to take the time to recognize the people who serve our communities with such dedication,” said Brent Henderson, Chief Human Resources Officer at Coast. “Our employees take great pride in giving back, connecting with local first responders, and showing our sincere gratitude for all they do to keep our communities safe.”
Both events were coordinated through Coast’s Coast Cares Committee, which leads the company’s community outreach and volunteer initiatives nationwide. The committee’s mission—to foster gratitude, compassion, and community connection—continues to guide Coast’s engagement with the people and organizations who make a difference every day.
