As a company that values service, sacrifice, and community, these contributions reflect Spire founders’ Jacob Torriere and Joseph Torriere, both U.S. military veterans, desire to support groups that uplift those who have selflessly defended our country.
Supporting the Gary Sinise Foundation
In April, Spire Recovery Solutions made a donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation, a nonprofit founded by actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise. The foundation is dedicated to honoring America’s defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families through programs that promote independence, healing, and empowerment.
The foundation’s initiatives include constructing specially adapted smart homes for severely wounded veterans, hosting morale-boosting events, and providing essential support for first responder families. Spire’s contribution helps fuel these life-changing programs and aligns with the company’s values of honoring service through action. By donating to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Spire recognizes the ongoing needs of veterans and the importance of community-led support.
Giving Back Through Fisher House Foundation
In May, Spire donated to the Fisher House Foundation, an organization that provides free lodging to military and veteran families near VA hospitals and military medical centers. The program allows loved ones to stay close during medical treatment, eliminating the burden of travel and lodging costs at a time when emotional support is most needed.
Since its inception, the Fisher House program has saved military and veterans’ families over $610 million in lodging and transportation expenses. Each year, more than 32,000 families benefit from this service. Spire’s donation to Fisher House reflects its belief in the importance of family support and access to care during difficult times. Helping to ease the burden on veterans and their families is one way the company demonstrates its ongoing commitment to those who serve.
Empowering Disabled American Veterans
Rounding out the quarter, Spire contributed to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in June. DAV is a nonprofit charity that helps more than a million veterans annually by ensuring they have access to the full range of benefits available to them. The organization also provides transportation to medical appointments and assistance with employment and education opportunities.
With a mission to help veterans live with dignity and respect, DAV plays a critical role in improving quality of life for service-disabled veterans. Spire’s support of DAV furthers the company’s mission to stand behind those who have made tremendous sacrifices in defense of our nation. By investing in resources that help veterans transition and thrive, Spire honors their courage and resilience.
A Commitment Rooted in Gratitude
Spire Recovery Solutions remains deeply committed to making a positive impact beyond the workplace. The company is honored to support organizations that provide essential services and support systems for veterans and their families. These donations reflect Spire’s core belief that giving back is not just a responsibility—it’s a privilege.
