Ontario Systems, a leading receivables management technology and services provider, announced today that Advocate Health Care has selected Ontario Systems’s Artiva Healthcare solution to implement in its shared revenue cycle center to support revenue cycle operations in the Chicago area. Advocate is the largest healthcare provider in Illinois, with more than 32,000 employees, and 6,000 affiliated physicians. Advocate operates more than 250 sites of care, including 10 acute care hospitals and the state’s largest integrated children’s network along with one of the area’s largest home health care companies and one of the region’s largest medical groups.

“We selected Artiva Healthcare based on its reputation as a proven healthcare receivables platform,” says Rick Lyman, Advocate Health Care’s vice president, revenue cycle. “In particular, we were drawn to its workflow automation capabilities, along with Ontario Systems’s experience driving hospital best practices over the last 30 years. We see Artiva Healthcare helping to improve our revenue cycle performance and to ensure Advocate is the safest and best place for patients to heal, physicians to practice, and associates to work.”

Advocate was recognized by Truven Health Analytics in the publisher’s Top 100 Hospitals list this year, and plans to use its new technology to ensure top-notch patient service, along with efficient and effective claim follow up and reimbursement. The not-for-profit organization will attempt to unite a number of business offices across their healthcare system in the coming months, using Artiva Healthcare to implement patient self-service capabilities, contact management, and new receivables strategies throughout the revenue cycle operation.

“We’re incredibly fortunate to partner with another of the country’s leading healthcare providers, in response to daily realities across the industry that demand enhanced efficiency, and deeper centralization,” says Ontario Systems CEO Ron Fauquher. “Advocate’s commitment to safety and excellent care for its patients and their families is one we’re privileged and proud to help support. All of our healthcare clients exemplify the same standard, and we welcome the chance to work with them to continue living up to that mission.”
