Melbourne, Australia businessman Paul Cooney has bought back RMG, the debt collection agency he founded and later watched sink into voluntary administration.
Mr Cooney told the Herald Sun that he planned to roll the business, which he bought for an undisclosed sum, into his latest collection agency, the unlisted Australian Receivables.
“Having an emotional and financial attachment to the debt collection business, in 2003 I started Australian Receivables,” Mr Cooney said.
“I started with a few key people and a couple of loyal clients and began the climb back.”
But he has no intention of listing a bulked-up Australian Receivables.
