Sykes Enterprises of Tampa, Florida, says it will move half of its call center business out of India after complaints that the accents were hard to understand.
Subhaash Kumar, a Sykes investor relations official, said some of its corporate customers had asked for the move, The Tampa Tribune reported.
Kumar said the reasons for the complaints varied, but some of them complained that their customers in the United States had trouble understanding the accents of the Indian service representatives.
