I.C. System Passes ISO 17799 Assessment

St. Paul, MN ? I.C. System Inc. announced that it has passed an independent, third-party ISO 17799 assessment. The extensive review assures clients that I.C. System follows industry-best practices concerning security and data.

Agencies failing to properly protect consumer data submitted for collections by publicly held companies could be subjecting those companies to varying degrees of liability, based on the Sarbanes-Oxley ruling. Additionally, agencies not following industry-best practices may bring unwanted scrutiny to financial-institution clients under the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act and to healthcare clients under the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
