Virginia Group Chooses Per-Se Technologies for Anesthesiology Accounts Receivable Management Services

Per-Se Technologies, the Connective Healthcare leader that helps physicians, pharmacies and hospitals realize their financial goals, continues to expand its client base in Virginia with an agreement to provide accounts receivables management for Anesthesiology Associates of Radford, Inc., of Radford, Va.

Anesthesiology Associates of Radford provides anesthesiology services to 129-bed Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford. Per-Se will handle the group’s medical claims coding, billing and accounts receivable management. Per-Se will also assist Radford with its managed care contracting practices and provide educational services focused on efficient coding and documentation.

With the Radford agreement, Per-Se now provides outsourced accounts receivable management for five anesthesia groups, totaling 60 anesthesia providers in southern and southwestern Virginia. The company also provides services to radiology groups affiliated with both New River Valley Medical Center and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. Roanoke Memorial is the flagship facility of the Carilion Health System. Carilion operates eight hospitals throughout western Virginia, including New River Valley Medical Center.
