Westbury, NY-based STA International, a commercial credit management firm, has acquired APCO Credit Services, a 12-year-old consumer collection agency in Mineola.
APCO and STA International have had a working relationship spanning over five years. As part of the acquisition, all three APCO personnel have retained their positions and have been integrated into STA International’s Long Island headquarters in Westbury.
Former APCO President Bill Denberg has been named Executive Vice President and will head the newly formed STA International Consumer Division, offering consumer collection services.
STA, founded in 1955, employs approximately 200 staff members including 30 in Westbury. STA Internationalprovides corporate debt recovery and cash flow services including domestic and international business-to-business collections, credit department outsourcing, credit insurance, credit information, and training and support.
