DALLAS, TX – Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced today that it has signed an expanded business process outsourcing (BPO) contract with Touchstone Health Partnership, Inc., (Touchstone Health), a New York City-based Medicare- dedicated care management company that is operated in partnership with physicians. The contract expansion is for three years.
ACS has provided end-to-end BPO services to Touchstone Health since April of 2003, including front-end mailroom, scanning, imaging and workflow, claims entry and payment, capitation payment, back-end printing and mailing services, web portal hosting, and data warehouse, as well as IT and application hosting. ACS will continue to provide services from its healthcare division in Indianapolis, Indiana. All services are delivered utilizing onlineHealthplan®, ACS’ proprietary suite of online applications and tools. Under the terms of the expanded contract, ACS will extend its range of services to cover Touchstone Health’s new Medicare Advantage contract in New York.
In November 2004, Touchstone Health received a license from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to operate New York State’s first Medicare Provider Sponsored Organization (PSO). With this recent new line of business that ACS will support, Touchstone Health became the first federally qualified PSO with a Medicare Advantage contract in New York, and currently the only one in the nation.
