Since 1938, the Department of Revenue (DOR) has been Georgia?s primary vehicle for administering the state’s tax laws and collecting and processing state revenue. The Georgia DOR is also responsible for the enforcement and regulations pertaining to alcohol and tobacco products, overseeing county property tax systems, and managing unclaimed property.
