Convergent, a large, diversified revenue cycle, receivables and customer care management company, Tuesday announced the appointment of Derek A. Pickell as President of the Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management Solutions division.
“Derek brings a wealth of experience and an outstanding track record to our company,” said Convergent CEO Michael Micek. “Our Revenue Cycle Management division is among the best there is and so is Derek. They are a great match.”
Pickell comes to Convergent from McKesson Revenue Management Solutions, where as National Vice President, he drove outstanding revenue growth and margin expansion via the implementation of new technology, best practices, and offshore partnerships while increasing customer and employee satisfaction. Prior to McKesson, he was Senior Vice President for sales and service for an electronic data interchange company that supports electronic eligibility verification, claims management, remittance advice, explanation of benefits and funds transfer for healthcare clients as well as managed care management software solutions.
