Rochester, NY – One of New York?s oldest credit and collection agencies, the Rochester Credit Center, Inc. (RCC), has changed its name. The company is now doing business as PaidHarbor Collections.
The company has deepened its commitment to the national collections aspect of its business and has been aligning its resources to support its continued national growth.
?Over the last few years our business has transitioned from a regional focus to a national focus. We knew that at some point our name was going to be an issue. Being known as the Rochester Credit Center did nothing to communicate our value to our national customers,? said Tim Harris, President and CEO of PaidHarbor/Rochester Credit Center, Inc. ?We are a highly competitive collection agency with the right depth of experience, technology, staff and processes to win and it is important to us that our name communicate these values.?
In an industry where conservative names are the norm, PaidHarbor stands out. The name is evocative and creates a strong sense of security, a place that has the depth of experience necessary to get resolution. Images of safety, commerce and resolution come to mind. Both the creditor and the debtor want to be in the same place ? PaidHarbor.
It is that kind of image that PaidHarbor Collections expects will help continue its growth. Changes already made toward this goal are the addition of industry-experienced sales representatives located outside New York State, as well as the creation of Debt Counseling Works in 2003, an organization dedicated to servicing higher education collections.
PaidHarbor Collections is a subsidiary of the Credit Education Bureau, founded in 1896, which is a non-taxable trade association specifically designed for the purpose of providing general credit and collection education to the community.
