Executives at ARM companies across the country have been recognized in the past week for their entrepreneurial vision and contributions to their local economies. Each year accounting and cunsulting giant Ernst & Young gives out awards for outstanding business people in each state. The awards are given annually to recognize outstanding owners of fast-growing companies. Awards are given to business owners or operators “who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their business and communities,” the release said. Award winners are eligible for the National Entrepreneur of the Year competition. The winners of the national awards will be announced at an event in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov. 22.
Tuesday evening, Michael A. Shea of MedAssist, Inc., located in Lousiville, KY, received the HeathCare award for Southern Ohio and Kentucky Entrepreneur of the Year. MedAssist provides information on patient eligibility, accounts receivable management and collections services.
Last Friday, Jack Lavin, Arrow Financial Services? President/CEO, won Ernst & Young?s, Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Financial Services category for Illinois.
Also in the industry, Mr. Robert B. Weltman, senior partner at Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., was once again selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award Program for Northeast Ohio. WWR is ranked as the largest creditors? rights law firm in the nation based on revenues and placements.
