Javitch, Block & Rathbone (JB&R) has been named to the prestigious Weatherhead 100 list of fastest growing companies in northeast Ohio, for the second consecutive year.
The Weatherhead 100 list is compiled by The Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio and represents the 100 companies that best exemplify the Cleveland entrepreneurial spirit and serve as example of business success.
In order to be named to the list, companies must have the highest percentages of sustained growth over the past five years, significant increases in the number of employees during that period, and a net increase in sales from 2003 to 2004. JB&R has had a net increase in sales of some 130 percent since 1999 and had a more than 100 percent increase in the number of employees during that time.
Earlier this year, the firm received the Innovator Award for their utilization of technology in the firm?s growth plan, which included software designed in-house. They have also been on the Northcoast 99 list of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio.
Established in 1991, JB&R specializes in the areas of collections, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, insurance subrogation, landlord/tenant law, and business transactions. The creditor representation practice includes a full-service collection department, a special collection department, and a real estate management service. One of only a few fully automated creditors? law firms in Ohio, JB&R runs their operations on proprietary software created in-house.
