Convergent, a large, diversified revenue cycle, receivables and customer care management company, announced today that senior utility executive Rudy J. Masi, Sr. is joining the company as Vice President of Product Development and Channel Management. Masi will lead a new division responsible for developing services and channels to meet the needs of utility residential and small business customers.

Masi has more than 39 years of experience in the utility industry, including power quality, sales, marketing, customer service, and account and product management. For more than ten years he has focused on developing non-electric utility revenue from the residential and small business markets. He is nationally recognized for developing and leading Progress Energy’s shareholder value enhancing programs that provide customers with services that deliver comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. Rudy is the recipient of Chartwell’s Best Practice Award for Marketing and Chartwell’s Most Innovative Program Award. He also holds awards from the EEI for energy efficient design.

Masi is a well known conference speaker and has consulted with numerous utilities to help implement and manage auxiliary revenue building programs. He brings to Convergent a solid foundation in building strategic affiliate business partnerships, turning traditional utility cost centers into profit centers and improving utility customer satisfaction. He has a passion for creating new business opportunities that build upon synergies with existing relationships to reduce expenses and grow revenue.
