Marlborough, Mass. – American Profit Recovery, a collection agency based in Michigan, Massachusetts and North Carolina, was recently awarded the 2010 Building Impact Silver Footprint Award. The honor recognizes local businesses that are an integral part of their communities and their work to make it a better place through charitable donations and volunteerism.

APR shared the spotlight with 20 additional companies who are also dedicated to strengthening their regions through volunteerism and giving via Building Impact’s program. The award recognizes a business’ Community Footprint, similar to a carbon footprint which Building Impact views as steps toward neighborhoods where everyone is invested in helping each other. The collection agency and their team members seek out several charitable events and opportunities in their regions every year such as: Making Strides for Breast Cancer, Earth Day events including PLANET Day of Service, an Adopt a Family program during the holidays, industry educational programs such as  “Ask Dr. Debt” and many others.

“We are proud to announce APR’s 2010 Silver Footprint Award given by Building Impact” said Jeff DiMatteo, partner at American Profit Recovery. “Our company strives each day to make a difference with our clients and in our communities and it is nice to see other companies doing their part as well.”

The collection agency has donated thousands of dollars to charity since they opened their doors in 2004 including well over $36,000 in 2010 alone. The company plans to continue to support worthy causes in their communities, building upon those core values. APR and the 20 additional award winners will be recognized at an event hosted by Building Impact in April 2011.
