KirkpatrickPrice announced today that it has developed a tool to assist clients in the accounts receivable management industry who are implementing CFPB requirements. This new tool supports the firm’s CFPB advisory practice.

Since February of this year, KirkpatrickPrice has been offering services to assist with CFPB Readiness and Risk Assessments, CFPB Mock Audits, and CFPB Policy Creation. KirkpatrickPrice has been actively striving to help the industry understand and navigate these regulatory compliance requirements to efficiently and effectively address compliance concerns.

As of January 2, 2013, the CFPB has supervisory authority over larger consumer debt collectors, expanding their window of enforcement into every stage of the debt collection process from origination down to all third parties involved. Many of these regulations are already being met by current compliance efforts with laws including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA).

KirkpatrickPrice’s Online Audit Manager tool has been updated to help clients document their compliance through the process of answering questions that will guide them through the readiness requirements. This tool maps the CFPB audit framework, helping clients recognize what they are doing correctly and the areas in which they need improvement. The Online Audit Manager connects clients with the firm’s Security and Compliance Specialists to support them through the process to prepare them for meeting all CFPB audit requirements.

KirkpatrickPrice’s Security and Compliance Specialists are uniquely qualified to help those in the ARM industry. The firm has a combined experience of over 40 years of working with the ARM industry.
