First Data to make Job Cuts in Georgia

First Data Resources Inc. plans to close its facility in Macon and cut 293 jobs as part of a restructuring to reduce costs and increase profit, the company said.

First Data’s card issuing business will relocate its Macon print/mail facility capabilities to Omaha, Neb., and other First Data locations. The company expects to add 200 jobs in Omaha.
