American Profit Recovery, a collection agency based in Michigan with additional offices in Massachusetts and North Carolina, has announced that team member Mike Hiller has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Collections.

Hiller will now lead a team of collectors in three locations that are responsible for contacting consumers with past due accounts within a whole host of industries the collection agency serves.

Mr. Hiller started at American Profit Recovery in 2005 as a collector, working on a variety of consumer and business accounts. He soon rose to the position of collection manager where he led a team of collectors in the Farmington Hills, Michigan office. With a Master’s degree in psychology and a forward thinking attitude, Hiller was able to have much success in resolving past due debt with consumers as well as hire a high performing team under him.

Using his background in psychology to his benefit, Hiller was able to reinforce the company’s culture of resolving debt issues with diplomacy and respect- a trait that is common and expected within the company.

“Mike has shown us that his background and education as well as his business acumen in the collection industry is a very effective combination here at American Profit Recovery,” states Barry Jennings, a partner at American Profit Recovery. “Mike knows what it takes to resolve debt diplomatically, build a team that understands that value and earn the trust of the entire organization. That’s a leader.”
