The recent CFPB consent orders have potentially sweeping implications for the receivables management industry. At DBA International’s California Symposium, attendees from across the industry are invited to hear from representatives of PRA and Encore about the resulting best practices and new standards that will need to be implemented around the accuracy and enforceability of debt, Original Account Level Documentation requirements, out of statute debt, responding to consumer disputes and much more.

In addition to the consent orders, the Symposium will dive deep into the new California laws, which were adopted by the California Legislature and signed by the Governor, impacting the receivables management industry. While the bill to increase the maximum homestead exemption did not pass, the wage garnishment (SB 501) and default judgment (SB 641) are now law.

Industry participants are invited to join DBA international, the California Association of Collectors and our esteemed speakers for this comprehensive one-day symposium which will also include a California and federal case law update, a state and federal legislative update and insight into where the regulatory community may be heading.
