INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Senex Financial Corp., a healthcare services company headquartered in Indianapolis, today announced that John M. Mutz, former lieutenant governor of the State of Indiana, was elected to its Board of Directors. As lieutenant governor for two terms, from 1981 to 1989 Mutz headed the Indiana Department of Commerce. He later served as President of PSI Energy, Indiana?s largest electric utility, from 1993 to 1999, and from 1989 to 1993 was President of Lilly Endowment, one of the five largest private foundations in America. During 2002, Mr. Mutz was Chairman of the City of Indianapolis Department of Waterworks, and he is currently Chairman of Lumina Foundation for Education, a billion dollar private, charitable foundation dedicated to expanding access to higher education.

Mr. Mutz joins Dan Quayle, former vice president of the United States and Senior Advisor to the Senex board, bringing his extensive business and policy expertise to bear in Senex?s efforts to assist healthcare providers. Senex Financial Corp., through its subsidiaries, is engaged in assisting healthcare providers, and in particular, hospitals, in the management of self-pay receivables. Senex is a leader in the monetization and management of self-pay healthcare receivables.

Mr. Mutz stated: ?I understand the growing financial pressure felt by healthcare providers in the U.S., and I believe Senex offers an innovative way for healthcare providers to liquidate non-performing assets that will provide cash to further their missions. I have known members of Senex?s management team for more than 20 years. I am impressed with their pioneering efforts in the industry, and particularly with the level of professionalism with which they approach healthcare providers? self-pay challenges.?

R. Matthew Neff, Chairman and co-CEO of Senex, commented: ?We are pleased to welcome John Mutz to our Board of Directors. He is a seasoned executive with a unique blend of expertise in the political, philanthropic and business sectors of society.
