Executive Bio: Jim Syran

Mr. Syran joined the Company in October 2006 and serves as Chief Marketing officer. He comes to Encore with extensive analytical and leadership experience in building teams that leverage customer information to increase performance and profitability. As the leader of Encore’s consumer marketing efforts, Mr. Syran will be responsible for leveraging customer behavioral information and creating campaigns focused on increasing liquidation across all of our channels. Most recently, Mr. Syran worked at Mothership, Inc., a privately held company he co-founded. Mr. Syran also held senior management positions with Renaissance Bankcard Services and Capital One Financial managing risk and marketing analysis teams that supported line managers across various product disciplines.

Mr. Syran holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Statistics and Operations Research from Virginia Commonwealth University.
